Hi!

I am Kay Byrd and Burgundy Realm is my blog where I am discovering my new life here in New Hampshire.

Although I have been blogging for years (since 2005) under different blog names, this blog is focused on my life moving forward after my divorce in 2010 and relocating away from my family from Mississippi. A bold step on my part because my children have been my life since 1984.

I enjoy writing, reading and anything techie. I am always learning new things, sometimes because life throws it at me or because I am simply interested in learning about it.

I have to admit that I am a random topic blogger. Whatever strikes me at the moment as I make my way in a new area, new lifestyle and as I figure out who I am in my adventures to become a better person.

My favorite phrase lately is “apparently alcohol was involved”.
